Extended Resource Room Classroom Supply List

Please contribute the following items to the Extended Resource Room:

  • 4 boxes of Kleenex
  • 1 Box of Gallon Size Sandwich Bags
  • 2 Large Containers of Sanitizing Wipes
  • 1 Large 3-inch 3 Ring Binder
  • 2 Elmer’s White glue
  • 1 package of Elmer’s purple glue sticks
  • Popsicle Sticks: large and small (1 each)
  • 1 package of Expo Dry Erase Markers
  • 1 Package of White Card Stock
  • 1 package of Copying Paper
  • Child’s Scissors
  • 1 Set of Watercolor Paints
  • 2 packages of Baby Wipes
  • 1 Case of Water

Snacks: NO PEANUTS/TREE NUTS, & SESAME SEEDS (ALLERGIES)

Kindergarten

  • 1 backpack (labeled with your child's name; regular size to carry daily work)
  • 1 24-pack of regular Crayola crayons, not jumbo size
  • 3 pink pearl erasers
  • 4 glue sticks (Elmers is preferred)
  • 1 pair of blunt-tip scissors (labeled with your child's name; Fiskar brand works best!)
  • 6 black Expo dry-erase markers (fine tip preferred)
  • 2 boxes/bags of crackers or cereal (peanut free products only - ex. Goldfish crackers, Teddy Grahams)
  • 1 pencil box (labeled with your child's name)

Homework is assigned in Kindergarten. The following supplies will be useful to have at home:

Hello, Future First Grade Families!

We are so excited to have you in our class family!  First and second grade students at Finley Elementary participate in a looping program, which means they stay with their classmates and teacher for two years.  Looping research has shown multiple benefits for students’ learning, well-being, and growth when given this opportunity.

Because your student is looping up with their teacher, we kept your students’ pencil box and scissors for next year. Below are the supplies we need to resupply. We will be having an Open House night for our 2nd grade class families on September 12th, we can’t wait to see you!

    Fourth Grade

    Dear Parents of Fourth Grade Students,

    Your child will have three separate teachers. Due to the fact that all fourth-grade students will be switching classrooms throughout the day, it is very important supplies are limited to the items listed below

    Please have students bring supplies on first day of school:

    • Backpack (Students will need a backpack to carry his/her supplies from class to class). Their backpacks become their traveling desks. These items will be needed in each class:
      • 1 70-page spiral notebooks (for writing)
      • (1) plain inexpensive composition notebook (for math) -decorative front covers discouraged – the front cover will be covered as a math activity
      • (1) pack any color pens (math class)
      • (2) two-pocket folders for homework (1 will stay in class- the other 1 will be in their backpack) 
      • (2) 4 pack dry erase markers (1 pack for math class and 1 pack for writing)
      • Science classboys: 1 box gallon sized baggies and girls: 1 box quart sized baggies 
      • (8) glue sticks (for science please keep 1 in with your child in their pencil pouch)
      • 2 packages of antibacterial wipes (will stay in homeroom)
      • 1 zipper pencil pouch (please no plastic pencil cases as they will break in backpack)

      Optional Items:

      • (1) pack of colored markers (stays in pencil pouch)
      • (1) pack of colored pencils (stays in pencil pouch)
      • (1) pack of color crayons (stays in pencil pouch)
      •  (1) pair of scissors (stays in pencil pouch)

    Fifth Grade

    Welcome to the Fifth Grade!  

    Please limit your supplies to the ones that we have determined are necessary for your success in fifth grade. Otherwise, backpacks may be overfull, very heavy, and difficult to keep orderly. Backpacks in 5th grade need to be sturdy. Students will be using them to transport all their daily supplies (their binder, homework, library books, and the occasional textbook) to each of their classes throughout the day. (Backpacks with wheels are acceptable.)

    Bring all the following supplies to school. We will sort them out and help students with the initial organization of the binder and backpack.

    • 2 inch binder
    • Pouch for supplies
    • 1 sturdy folder with pockets
    • (3) 70-page spiral notebook (no multi-subject spirals)
    • (1 pack/150 sheets) wide rule, loose leaf, 3-ring notebook paper
    • (1) pack colored pencils (8 color pack)
    • (2) packs pencil top erasers
    • (2) large boxes of Kleenex
    • (2) glue sticks

    Optional: 

    • Donations of additional pencils, paper, erasers, tissue
    *Students need to wear athletic tennis shoes for PE. Open-toe shoes are not appropriate for recess.
