Continuous Learning Handouts and Resources
Instructions:
If you have internet access:
- Continue to watch this webpage for current and future work.
- Continue learning with Duolingo
- Connect on ClassDojo
- Connect on Google Classroom with class code tsaz2bt
Offline Work:
- Choose a book, story, poem, article, podcast, or audiobook to read or listen to.
- Stop when you get to a word you don’t know, or a word that seems interesting to you.
- In box 1 of the graphic organizer, write your name, the title of what you are reading or listening to, the page number or timestamp where you found the word, and the word.
- In box 2 of the graphic organizer, write what you think the word might mean.
- In box 3 of the graphic organizer, draw a quick sketch about your thinking.
- Read or listen to the pages or minutes near the word again.
- In box 4 of the graphic organizer, write what you think it means after reading or listening again.
- Look up the word in a dictionary or online dictionary. Dictionary.com is a good place to look if you have internet access.
- In box 5 of the graphic organizer, write the definition you found.
- In box 6 or the graphic organizer, draw what it means.
- Complete one graphic organizer every day this week.
- Keep the graphic organizers together to create your personal dictionary.
K-1st Grade

Kindergarten:
- Continue using letter and sound matching cards with CVC word list to practice building and breaking apart words.
- Continue to practice reading decodable books sent home.
- Read with your parents in any language, practice telling your parents what the story is about.
- Draw and write about your day every day.
1st grade:
- Read with your parents in any language, practice telling your parents what the story is about.
- Learn to do something new and draw a picture of the steps to do that thing.
- Draw and write about your day every day.
